The Deadly Phony Compassion Of Hillary And Bernie
Doug McIntyre, in the LA Daily News, gets it right on immigration -- or as he puts it, Hill and Bern's "can-you-top-this contest to see who could win the most votes by further weakening our already phantom border security":
While Clinton and Sanders had plenty to say last week about our nation's "cruel" policy of "splitting up immigrant families", not one word was said about the families of Jamiel Shaw, Drew Rosenberg, Kathryn Steinle, Anthony, Michael and Matthew Bologna, or Michael Capps, Jeremy Waters, Randy Nordman and Clint and Austin Harter, all murdered by illegal immigrants; the last five victims were allegedly killed by Pablo Antonio Serrano-Vitorino while Clinton and Sanders were on-stage polishing their compassion bonafides.Mrs. Clinton is at least willing to concede "we should be deporting criminals." But what happens when we actually do deport a criminal?
Pablo Serrano-Vitorino had been deported.
He was sent packing from Los Angeles to Mexico in 2004 after his felony conviction for making a terrorist threat. But back he came and he continued to have run-ins with the law.
In November of 2014 Serrano-Vitorino was convicted of drunk driving in Kansas. ICE was never notified. On June 15th, 2015 he was arrested for domestic assault. This time ICE was notified but Kansas officials released him before ICE arrived. On September 14th, 2015 he was fingerprinted for driving without a license. His prints triggered an immigration hold but a processing error sent him back to the streets. Now five innocents are dead.
Talk about splitting up families.
How porous are our borders?
The daughter of the most wanted man in the western hemisphere claims her father, Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, visited her twice in California while on the run from authorities after escaping from a Mexican prison.
Why don't we just put up signs along the border, "Welcome, ISIS!"?

Oh no Hillary and Sanders didn't want to insinuate illegals are all violent criminals like Trump is doing?! I loathe pieces like this....I could do a better job...just watch:
They're not compassionate because they're condoning slave labor not because they're skipping (fake tears) for people murdered by illegals. See how easy that was? Someone should pay me to write these opinion pieces.
Ppen at March 14, 2016 6:22 AM
I think the immigration issue is the reason Trump is so successful. And while the liberal left is quick to demonize Trump as a racist (which he is; his involvement in the birther conspiracy theory leaves no more room for doubt), the fact of the matter is, it is very important to the United States that immigrants, especially those from Syria, never make it to the United States.
But politicians in both political parties seem to turn a deaf ear to the American people on this subject. This is not mere xenophobia. The Syrian male refugees, with their inability to keep their hands to themselves when it comes to satisfying sexual urges, have already inflicted irreparable damage in Europe, and Merkel the brain-dead is all set to let even more in.
And this is not mere culture. It is the teaching of their imams that a man has a right to satisfy his "sexual emergencies" even with a 1-year-old child if the urge is strong enough.
I'm not a big fan of guns, but I have never been so profoundly grateful for the Second Amendment. These horny immigrants who think any woman or child is fair game, are in for a rude awakening when they find out that Americans, including women, love their guns and are allowed to use deadly force to protect themselves from sexual assault.
Rubio and Cruz, in particular, are surprising to me. (With Democrats, you come to expect their pro-amnesty stance.) But I really feel like the other political candidates would do so much better against Trump if they would just start to recognize that we do not want Syrian refugees here.
And I simply don't understand why they're so willing to inflict these barbarians on us.
Patrick at March 14, 2016 6:37 AM
Simple and obvious answer. The democrats know that these illegal aliens will soon be illegal voters for democrat candidates.
Jay at March 14, 2016 6:50 AM
You know who else commits murders? Natural-born citizens, and even legal immigrants.
If someone wants to make the case that illegal immigrants are uniquely dangerous, they have to do it with per capita statistics and then contrast that with the non-illegal immigrant population.
Anecdotes about murders committed by illegal immigrants are blatant, disingenuous appeals to emotion, and are a completely useless to anyone who wants to know what reality looks like.
Chris Rhodes at March 14, 2016 6:58 AM
They don't see it as slave labor, Ppen. They'll cheerfully do jobs American's wont at the rate an illegal will take. Because, at least with the Mexicans they can send home a nice amount of money, to the tune of $25 billion or so.
And you know who this hurts disproportionately? the low income minimum wage job holder citizen. Flooding the country with low-skill or no-skill labor reduces the cost of those jobs, just like the US Chamber of Commerce wants.
And those are the people Hill and Bernie consider their rank and file.
What we really need is immigration laws like Mexico has.
I R A Darth Aggie at March 14, 2016 7:08 AM
I know they don't see it as slave labor.
But the reason I fucking loathe pieces like this is because they only exist to appeal to people who already agree with them. Chris here makes my point.
You want to get people thinking who don't have much of an opinion on illegal immigration. My old boss was a hippy liberal and I'm Hispanic. We both agreed illegal immigration was wrong because it's slave labor and people don't have a right to cheap goods. If you tried to appeal to either of us on how awful illegals are you'd get tuned out. ISIS? I mean wtf no the cartels control the borders too well for that to be a significant problem.
I think they're hardworking, and tend to be the best employees I manage. But I see them as being exploited and have had many a conversation with pro illegal people where I have left them stumped because I'm appealing to their side--compassion for illegals.
As far as I can tell conservatives do nothing but complain about illegals while hiring them and expecting me (the taxpayer) to subsidize them.
Ppen at March 14, 2016 7:24 AM
I don't have the time today to do full research so just back of the envelope.
Chris: "If someone wants to make the case that illegal immigrants are uniquely dangerous, they have to do it with per capita statistics and then contrast that with the non-illegal immigrant population."
According to the article an estimated 3000 killed by illegals per year. No idea where that number came from. In the US ( according to the FBI) there were 14,249 homisides in 2014.
3000 by illegals would be over 1/5 of all murders. or about 20 murders per 100,000. ( I used 15 ill as a rough estimate of illegal immigrants)
Non-illegals the other 300 million people here would be responsible for the other 11,249 murders. or 3.75 per 100,000.
20 is significantly larger than 3.75.
Joe J at March 14, 2016 9:10 AM
Well, Chris, if your head is that far up your ass, I doubt anything that anyone could post would persuade you. I shared this yesterday, but I don't mind sharing it again.
A friend of mine, Devon Tracey (aka Atheism-is-Unstoppable on YouTube), shared this information in a video of his about the various violent crimes committed by refugees in Germany, just since the month of January, this year. Including rape, "pool assaults" which had been previously unheard of prior to the refugee invasion, and sexual assault. But I don't mind sharing it again.
I set it to the relevant portion of the video. Enjoy.

I expect if they try pulling that shit in the U.S.A., outside the liberal cities, it will be time to play cowboys and refugees.
Good Ole Boy at March 14, 2016 9:46 AM
Sanders is clearly anti-NAFTA (and all the other associated export-the-jobs agreements) and he's critical of the H1-B visa program.
Regarding illegal Mexican immigration: this has not been successfully addressed, ever, by any President in the history of this country.
There's gold in them thar low-paid illegal workers and no pocket-picking politician is going to throw it away without a larger benefit to themselves.

"I expect if they try pulling that shit in the U.S.A., outside the liberal cities, it will be time to play cowboys and refugees."
Millions of people have come here illegally and you have done nothing.
But please, continue the internet tough talk. It's very entertaining, in a Sovereign Citizen sort of way.
Gog_Magog_Carpet_Reclaimers at March 14, 2016 10:46 AM
Nothing ever happens. Until it does. Then nobody saw it coming. Usually because they weren't paying attention.
Like Ferguson, there are lots of angry people, doing nothing, yet.
MarkD at March 14, 2016 11:50 AM
"Millions of people have come here illegally and you have done nothing."
You misunderstand my sentiment. Me and my friends don't care about illegals who work hard and keep their hands to their selves. Nor do we give two shits what happens in the liberal cities. But if these liberal fuck wads wish to import a bunch of rapists and molesters and stick them in my backyard, well they'll be fine right up until they rape the wrong girl...
Good Ole Boy at March 14, 2016 11:57 AM
Ppen,
You say above "We both agreed illegal immigration was wrong because it's slave labor and people don't have a right to cheap goods."
Possibly you will explain more about how they are slaves. Legal and illegal immigrants came into the US voluntarily. They are not tied to a particular job, and they can leave the US at will.
Who has enslaved them?
Andrew_M_Garland at March 14, 2016 12:54 PM
Good Ole Boy; "Nor do we give two shits what happens in the liberal cities."
Well, bless your heart!
I happen to live a liberal area of the US (Northeast corridor). While I don't care for the political class that runs this place I do have to live here to be near family. We've been here long before this was a country and, God willing, we will be here long after this country is no more. (Sadly, that might be sooner than anyone expects)
Whether we like it or not; ALL of the states are tied together. The protected class often engages in class warfare, racial animosity, inter-state rivalry, etc. They get their power by trying to manipulate the voters that way. Vote for ME, the other guy is for the "other." He will sell you out!
It is always sad to see so many fall for the protected class's tricks. I've often felt like screaming at them: "We aren't that stupid." But, then, I see we keep electing the same fools on the same stupid issues.
We (and by "we" I mean Red, Blue, and Purple states; middle-class and working class; all races/ethnicities, basically ALL decent Americans) need to stick together to stop the runaway train that is the protect class. They have been pissing on our legs and telling us that it is raining!
Although I personally cannot stand Trump because I've had enough of 8-years of a narcissist and really don't want any more egotistical jackasses picking fights with reporters or anyone else who dare look at the Emperor funny; I do get that a large part of Trump's appeal is that he is telling you that it is NOT rain; yes, they have been peeing on you.
Whether he can make it stop remains to be seen. (Hillary won't just be peeing; she will, as she has been, sh!t on us and call it a cleansing mud pack)

"... 1986, Ronald Reagan signed a sweeping immigration reform bill into law. It was sold as a crackdown: There would be tighter security at the Mexican border, and employers would face strict penalties for hiring undocumented workers.
But the bill also made any immigrant who'd entered the country before 1982 eligible for amnesty"
Damned liberal Reagan, importing all them rapists!
Gog_Magog_Carpet_Reclaimers at March 14, 2016 4:38 PM
The closest I could find to an in dept statistical discussion of crime rates and the problems with determining it. In particular if a murder is unsolved it would automatically be counted against general population no matter who did it.
http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2015/07/illegal_aliens_murder_at_a_much_higher_rate_than_us_citizens_do.html
And as for Reagan, after it happened he saw what damage happened and regretted it. Amnesty just brought in even more migrants, next year and the tightened border didn't materialize.
Joe J at March 14, 2016 5:35 PM
That was a compromise bill with Congressional Democrats. We're still waiting for the tougher security at the border promised by that compromise.
And for the spending cuts promised by George HW Bush's compromise that raised taxes and cost him the 1992 election.
===================================
Hillary and Bernie are compassionate with other people's money, time, livelihoods, and children.
They'll give jobs to illegal immigrants at low wages without considering how that affect the price of unskilled labor and what it does to native born citizens (of any ethnicity) in that labor pool. They'll destroy the market for unskilled labor and then blame the rich or corporate America (to them, one and the same) and promise more welfare to those disenfranchised by their compassion.
They'll promise more welfare and free college paid with tax revenues paid by working Americans who are struggling to pay a mortgage and save enough for retirement - in the wake of the inevitable collapse of Social Security after it was looted to pay for non-SSA programs when raising taxes to pay for them proved to be not politically feasible.
They'll send troops overseas willy-nilly, after making sure their children and the children of their supporters cannot be sent into harm's way (e.g., Al Gore, Army photographer; Dan Quayle, National Guard driver; Phill Gramm, doctoral student; Bill Clinton, Rhodes Scholar and law student).
Note, I did not include George W. Bush in the list above because there was talk during the Vietnam War of sending the TANG's F-102s to Vietnam. Besides, it was a tricky plane to fly and, for both those reasons, not a safe hideout for the squeamish, despite what Mary Mapes and Dan Rather say. He was still avoiding Vietnam, but he was flying tricky intercept missions while on duty, not lying to the draft board about someday joining the Arkansas National Guard or insisting the world needed him as an economist rather than an infantryman.

"Possibly you will explain more about how they are slaves. "
I see where Ppen is coming from, and under the current law, she's sort of right: Illegals are exploited in the sense that employers don't have to pay them minimum wage, and the employers can (if they are clever) avoid paying FICA or Medicare taxes on them, or offering them all of the benefits that the law requires. This is a big part of the problem: in effect, there is now a pool of jobs reserved for illegals, because citizens and legal immigrants can't legally take those jobs. It's a double whammy: illegals working for what the law considers sub-standard wages, and citizens/legals being shut out of jobs.
The real root of the problem, of course, is the minimum wage. And it will get worse as leftists and populists push to have the minimum wage jacked up into the stratosphere. Business owners who have political connections maintain a nudge-nudge-wink-wink relationship with the whole process: by exercising their crony connections to have the INS look the other way, they can get access to cheap illegal labor, while their competitors' costs go up with the minimum wage.
Cousin Dave at March 15, 2016 7:27 AM
"Illegals are exploited in the sense that employers don't have to pay them minimum wage, and the employers can (if they are clever) avoid paying FICA or Medicare taxes on them, or offering them all of the benefits that the law requires."
This is another expression of the unintended consequences of crummy laws.
Imagine for a moment that you are a farmer. You need a hundred acres of tomatoes picked.
Legally, you either have to hire a company which complies with Federal employment laws, or you have to identify and pay everyone who appears for work in accordance with the law, yourself.
All you need is tomatoes picked.
You do NOT need the burden of supporting diversity plans, minimum wages, dependent care, health care, maternity care, yada yada yada.
All you need is tomatoes picked.
People think that immigrants are paid poorly. Chances are, they're much closer to decent wages than we might think because there isn't any expense of deduction calculations, witholding for a half dozen categories...
No immigrant will be fined $2500 for not having health insurance.
Many persons reading this have noticed that the cost of providing all the "benefits" noted above comes out of the sale price of the crop. Not one wants to pay more.
All I needed was tomatoes. Those nebulous benefits might have been a good idea once upon a time, but now they pay administrators more than they do the supposed worker.

Anyone know when Reagan signed the repeal of that immigration deal?
I've looked but can't find it. Damned Democrats - forced him to sign it and now they've hidden it!
