Many jobs have been created to tackle these “issues.” Most large organisations—certainly universities—now have Diversity Officers, Diversity Consultants and Women’s Officers. Many of these Officers and Consultants and the like have academic backgrounds in gender or women’s studies.
The point is, Diversity is just another industry now. And these people are rent-seekers who have a vested interest in solving nothing.
This isn’t an argument against diversity as such. By all means, Diversity can be valuable, but forced diversity implores us to see people by their status as member of a group, rather than their merits as individuals. Take, for instance, this recent article in the New York Post where it was declared that “Gay white guys are not diversity hires.” My response to this (myself, a “gay white guy”) is “Good, thank you,” though I will add, the idea that simply having more diversity adds value to an organisation is a baseless tautology.
Instapundit asks an interesting question, and has a prescient answer:
Exit question: If “inflammatory rhetoric” makes violence the speaker’s fault, what about all the people who are comparing Trump to Hitler? Prediction: If somebody acts on that and kills Trump, media Hitler-callers will blame his rhetoric, not their own.
[Ted] Frank’s challenge is to the decision by the U.S. Appeals Court for the 11th District to uphold the settlement in Joshua D. Poertner v. The Gillette Co., et. al. in which the trial lawyers got $5.7 million and 99 percent of the estimated 7.26 million class members got zilch. Poertner is just one of the many class-action settlements in which the plaintiffs’ lawyers get rich and the plaintiffs get … stiffed.
Ted Frank is trying to get the SCOTUS to take a case to reform how class action lawsuits are settled. We've all seen the stories about how law firms get rich off of class actions while the members of the class get near-worthless coupons, or nothing. In the specific case Frank is pursuing, the plaintiff firm received 45% of the settlement while a tiny fraction of the class got 3%; the rest of the class got nothing. Half of the settlement went to a charitable donation, but as Frank points out, charity donations in class settlements usually go to charities who have connections with the plaintiff firm or its partners.
Here's a video regarding the problem that is now being seen in Europe, especially Germany. It seems that immigrants believe that they have "sexual emergencies," which means they can justifiably gratify themselves with anyone or anything.
This one particular sicko assaulted a 10-year-old boy so severely that the child had to be hospitalized. And worse, he claims that his need for sex was so severe that he had to be hospitalized for three days and the doctor told him that he had to have sex with anything.
I refuse to believe that any Western doctor told him that. Perhaps from his own backwater, but not in the West.
And does the term "masturbation" mean anything to him?
This might sound cruel, but perhaps there is a plus side to all this. Maybe these third-wave feminists will now understand what a "rape culture" really is!
A "sovereign citizen" is a conspiracy theorist who believes he can dispossess himself of his U.S. citizenship and be exempt from U.S. laws, yet still live in the U.S.
As seen, they engage in an awful lot of double speak. This particular citizen seems to believe that a "person" is a corporation, and he is not a "person," but an "individual."
They also tend to drive without licensing either themselves or their vehicles. This one is was operating under a suspended license. The rationale is that "driving" is only for commercial purposes, and since he was not operating a motor vehicle for commerce, he was "traveling," not driving, and is therefore not required to have a license.
While this one is more amusing than abusing, SovCits can be very dangerous. They have been known to engage in firefights with law enforcement, resulting in fatalities on both sides.
One thing I notice about SovCits is that they're always indigent. You never find a SovCit with a successful career. They tend to live with their parents and own a large collection of guns.
Watch to the end to hear a funny story by the judge of his own experiences with SovCits.

I actually worked with a sovereign citizen once Patrick. A really squirrelly guy. He would write these two to three page emails that didn't actually say anything. In the end he quit (not fired) because the IRS caught up with him and garnished his wages 100%. He would typically work for ~1 year before tax season came around and the IRS figured out where he was working.

I guess I shouldn't had it set on puree. Whoops. But look the bright side: you'll never have a sexual emergency again!

"Maybe these third-wave feminists will now understand what a 'rape culture' really is!"
Nah. Being that post-modern feminism is really just Marxism tailored to appeal to women. Being that the goal is to bring down Western civilization, "rape culture" is simply an accusation to hurl at Western men, in order to weaken them. In reaching the goal, Islam is seen as an ally of convenience. When the end comes, the feminist leaders figure that their political connections and the resources they have access to will protect them personally. What happens to all other women will merely be "regrettable" collateral damage. As the women of Cologne have found out.

Diversity Officers and graduates of Women's/Grievance studies are trained political officers in the style of East Germany and the old Soviet Union.
I think the plan is to establish these degrees and roles as standard in the "enlightened" universities, then press for every company and activiity of size to have one or more Diversity (Political) Officers. As in the communist dictatorships, their job would be to supervise all aspects of the operation and direct support to a politically correct and all-controlling government. The government then could direct most public relationships for the benefit of the proletariat.
Bill Whittle gives the history of this, explaining the The Frankfurt School, Communism, Political Correctness, Critical Theory, Communism/Collectivism, and the protests against Western values.

IRA; I do like your solution. Yep, a blender will work - end all that "emergency."
Here's the thing, if the "protected class" doesn't do something to help the locals then they will find their own solution or someone else will; and we all know from history such things do not end well.

IRA and Cousin Dave, et al, I am amazed that anyone thinks they could get anything from such a thing. Divide the total award by the number of class members, and you can't mail them all a $1 check for that amount.

I think that is kind of the point Rad. You have 7.26 million people who were harmed by ~78c (at least according to the court). Why should these lawyers be allowed to use these people's insignificant harm to enrich themselves? In what way has the court's ruling corrected this harm?
To phrase things in a different way, if Donald Trump started punching people and after he punched a million people he gave a million dollars to Obama in what way is that justice?
Hmmmm...rent seekers, I hate those guys.
