If The FBI Won't Do Anything About Emailgate, Maybe Moscow Will
Security expert John Schindler writes in the New York Observer about some of the fallout
Last week the Associated Press broke a big story about how Clinton's "unclassified" emails included the true names of CIA personnel serving overseas under cover. This was hardly news, in fact I broke the same story four months ago in this column. However, the AP account adds detail to what Clinton and her staff did, actions that placed the lives of CIA clandestine personnel at risk. It also may be a violation of the Intelligence Identities Protection Act, a 1982 law that featured prominently in the mid-aughts scandal surrounding CIA officer Valerie Plame, which so captivated the mainstream media. More recently, former CIA officer John Kiriakou spent two years in Federal prison for violating this law.To make matters worse for Team Clinton, last week it emerged that several of the classified emails under investigation involved discussions of impending CIA drone strikes in Pakistan. Clinton aides were careful to avoid hot-button words like "CIA" and "drone" in these "unclassified" emails, engaging in a practice that spies term "talking around" an issue.
However, the salient fact is that the CIA--which has the say here--considers this information to be Top Secret, as well as enormously sensitive. It had no business being in anybody's unclassified emails.
And check this out:
...And in the unlikely event that nobody in our nation's capital is willing to go public with exactly what Hillary Clinton did, it now seems the Russians may do so. It's highly plausible that Russian intelligence services, among others, have many of Clinton's emails, perhaps all of them, given how slipshod her security arrangements were. Therefore the recent statement by Julian Assange, head of Wikileaks, that his organization plans to release more of Clinton's emails should not be dismissed out of hand. Although Assange is prone to flights of fancy, Wikileaks has long served as a front for Russian intelligence, as Western security services are well aware, so it may not be fantasy that he could get his hands on more of Hillary's emails. It would be supremely ironic if the Kremlin demolishes Hillary Clinton's presidential aspirations thanks to her own neglect of basic communications security when she was secretary of state.

This will probably be the interesting political week of our lives. There are just more tentacles to this beast than can be counted.
We've established that Trump has large investments in Putin's Russia. So I certainly understand sentiments like this.
But let's not forget that Hillary's hands are quite possibly even filthier as regards the monster Putin.

Here's some more on Clinton profiteering.
Consider the ironies

The Cleveland convention was repulsive but not violent... There was one scuffle on Sunday afternoon, and then nothing.
The Philadelphia venue is being harshly secured, and the weather forecast is in the high nineties through Thursday. But the anger they face is going to be from their own party members, including Bernie's voters, who've been mocked and excluded by the power players... Including the new interim DNC chief Donna Brazile, who's been as bad as any of them.
This is one of those weeks where it's great to be in the western time zone, so all the action starts earlier in the day.

But Amy is gonna vote for her anyhow.

Don't be snarky.
Besides, the CNN poll this morning has Trump up by six or seven: It may not matter.
Crid at July 25, 2016 4:29 AM
Okay, it's only three points.
But still.

As I've been saying -- and as you apparently ignore, roadgeek:
Trump is also corrupt.
But Hillary is a corrupt adult.

Alternate scenario:
Putin has the emails but does not release them. Instead,
He covertly tells HRC he has them and threatens to release them unless she ignores certain foreign policy objectives he has. A sword over the president's head.

Still waiting for actual evidence of the *adultness* and rationality of Hillary Clinton. All I see is a scheming, lying shrieking bitich who is so careless and lazy and criminal that she couldn't be bothered to take the most basic care of classified information.

Preach it, Isab. I'd vote for an actual child, over her. Anyone who would vote an admitted felon into the Presidency shouldn't have the right to vote. I can't fathom how the woman is still a candidate.

Hillary's first priority?

This is akin to Kerry saying global warming is more dangerous than ISIS.

One thing about Trump winning would be that he would do less damage than Clinton. Even if he could articulate some ideas for the country, Congress wouldn't help him. The union bureautrash wouldn't help him. Europe would shun him.
OTOH Clinton has plans for us. Plans we wouldn't think of on our own. And we already know how the Arkansas crime syndicate works

The type of "adult" that uses an electronic device susceptible to hacking in Russia and China is not the type of adult that put their country's security first.
The type of "adult" that does the above knowing that they will get away with it due to their political influence is the type of adult that should be feared due to their political influence.

I think this has less to do with Moscow being displeased by Hillary as much as Moscow fearing that Hillary will not stay bought.
If they really wanted a good reliable socialist on the ticket, they should have published some of this stuff back in the primaries when TEH BERN could have had a chance.
This is a warning: we can cripple your presidency at any time for any reason and make you a one-termer. Would you care for fries with that?

But Hillary is a corrupt adult.
Shrillary is also a public servant, but her only service was to enrich herself. At this point, what difference does it make??
