This will brighten your week. And by "brighten" I mean "make you grind your teeth in anger":
Despite the Transportation Security Administration's ten-point action plan to reduce long lines at airports across the country, lengthy queues remain. Now, the TSA's summer may be getting even worse: According to a recent report from the House Homeland Security Commission entitled "Misconduct at TSA Threatens the Security of the Flying Public", nearly half of the TSA’s 60,000 employees have been cited for misconduct in recent years.
When the Internet’s legions of Hillary hecklers steal away to chat rooms and Facebook pages to vent grievances about Clinton, express revulsion toward Clinton and launch attacks on Clinton, they now may find themselves in a surprising place – confronted by a multimillion dollar super PAC working with Clinton.
Hillary Clinton's well-heeled backers have opened a new frontier in digital campaigning, one that seems to have been inspired by some of the Internet's worst instincts. Correct the Record, a super PAC coordinating with Clinton's campaign, is spending some $1 million to find and confront social media users who post unflattering messages about the Democratic front-runner.
In effect, the effort aims to spend a large sum of money to increase the amount of trolling that already exists online.
I tried to convince my liver that I would not partake in this bacchanalian game, but it is still hiding under my desk:
But standing beneath that freezing water was a seminal moment in my life, a Valentine Michael Smith cusp. It was in that beer- and shower-soaked moment that I decided that if I wanted to be a drinker (and I did), then I had better get much better at it.
And so with many years of practice and devotion I eventually became the drinker I had long aspired to be: Possessed of a prodigious capacity, an impressive endurance, and of a skillset too finely honed for any more three-hour-long hurling sessions.
I tell you these things not to brag, but to tell you why I will not be taking part in the Official PJMedia DNC Drinking Game™.
People suffering from heart disease have been offered hope by a new study that suggests damaged tissue could be regenerated through a stem cell treatment injected into the heart during surgery.

I love SeaLion, both for the breadth of its vision and for its implicit insistence that Twitter must learn to play nice with other social platforms.

Another "rules are for the little people":
Pennsylvania is known for its restrictive alcohol laws -- venues cannot sell alcohol after 2 a.m. or provide happy hour specials, and all drinks must be purchased at vendors run by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB). But the state gave a special dispensation for the Democratic National Convention this week.
Sixclaws's essay is all the usual stuff about how racist/sexist progressives have taken over scifi institutions. But this time there are footnotes and primary sources.
@Crid,
Sealion is finally working.

6, sealion is fascinating but undercooked.
I wish someone would do some cross-platform linkage, though of course Dorsey would go to any lengths to prevent that from happening.
