I Half Expect The Wicked Witch Of The West To Fly Through On Her Broom
The view due to the fire near Los Angeles.
On a serious note, I hope people don't lose their homes.
This is how it looked closer to the beach (in Venice). That red dot is the setting sun.

Yep, every summer California burns. Much like every fall, some coast gets hit by a hurricane and the people are stunned-STUNNED-that they're flooded in their coastal home, or people in Buffalo are amazed they got snow. I'm not sure why it's even reported on, anymore. It's like the newspeople getting on air to tell us the sun rose in the East today.
Does make for some wicked-pretty skies, though.

I posted a shot of the ash collected on my windshield. "Enough ash," I wrote, "to collect all the Pokemon."

The air can't be good to breathe, even far from the fire. I noticed little black dots under Aida's eyes -- it's ash. She was barely outside. Or maybe it's from the air inside. Ugh. Probably is. (Air, of course, travels.)
