"At a San Francisco bar on January 5th, Pranay Singh details how the shadow-banning algorithms targeting right-leaning are engineered:
“Yeah you look for Trump, or America, and you have like five thousand keywords to describe a redneck. Then you look and parse all the messages, all the pictures, and then you look for stuff that matches that stuff.”
When asked if the majority of the algorithms are targeted against conservative or liberal users of Twitter, Singh said, “I would say majority of it are for Republicans.”"

Fight for $Zero! Emphasis mine, that sounds like additional bonuses.
Jack in the Box previously tested technology such as kiosks. According to Comma, the kiosks resulted in a higher average check and helped with efficiency. But at the time Comma said the cost of installing the kiosks wasn't worth it.
But with minimum wages increasing, Jack in the Box is reconsidering the use of kiosks and other technology, Comma said.
Kamala Harris is likely not fit to be a dog catcher, let alone higher office.
It just involved an officer of the court knowingly producing a fraudulent document in order to secure an illicit advantage. If Harris really thinks that knowingly producing a fraudulent document to secure an illicit advantage isn't "outrageous," then perhaps she slept through her legal ethics courses.
We'll have to wait and see if this is a thing, but if it is a thing, it's a THING.
If Fusion GPS was allowed to run unsupervised FISA-702 queries, it brings up a whole host of other questions, including just who in the Obama administration and/or the US intelligence community granted Fusion GPS (and why they aren’t in prison), and how such access was granted. Where they escorted to a secured terminal room in Ft. Meade and told “Have at it, boys!” Was a Virtual Private Network setup to give them a direct pipeline into U.S. intelligence data? Were they allowed access to all U.S. intelligence data (including all intercepts of American civilian communication), or just small abstract of same? Did any of the information resulting from the queries run end up in Russian hands?
Knowing the answers to those questions would tell us how bad a breach in our security this was, and just what sort of felony charges need to be filed.
If the worst case implications of the above are true, the Obama Administration gave unlimited, unsupervised access to America’s most sensitive national security data to a private firm in the pay of foreign powers merely to go after political enemies.
I came to post that Battle Swarm article, but Darth beat me to it... Holy. Fucking. Shit. If the allegations in that article are true (and at this point, that's still a big if):
1. Fusion GPS had unsupervised access to the CIA's foreign intelligence intercepts system, including access to the communications of American citizens whose communications were intercepted by the system. This was in early 2016, until a CIA director noticed something funny going on and initiated a compliance review.
2. Fusion GPS passed on intel that it received via that access to Christopher Steele, who used it to compile the Trump dossier. (Steele may or may not have added some more information.)
3. The dossier was used to get an ass-covering, retroactive FISA warrant. That warrant wasn't what how Fusion GPS got access to Trump intel. They already had that access. The warrant was just to have something to point to if awkward questions came up about how the information was obtained.
4. Some information collected by Fusion GPS may have been passed to their Russian contacts. At that time, they were being paid by Russia to lobby for (i.e., smear and harass opponents of) the repeal of the Magnitsky Act in the U.S. This would not have necessarily been information about Trump. It could have included intel on supporters of Sergei Magnitsky in Russia, which the foreign intelligence database doubtless would have contained.
5. J.R. Halderman, John Dean and Richard Nixon were choir boys compared to Glenn Simpson, Peter Strzok, and Hillary Clinton.

Almost to the day, 31 years ago in 1987 the Dow went above 2000 for the first time. For a long time under Tricky, Ford and Jimmuh it was stuck around 1000 but started rising under Reagan.

The more you know: steak knives. ~ I R A Darth Aggie at January 12, 2018 8:17 AM
Interesting (to me) point about Thomas Lamb and the Cutco knives. I had a nephew who was studying to be a chef and he sold us a set of their knives. They're not bad knives. The handle has a good grip. The steak knives, however, have a rounded tip, better for spreading butter or whatever, but the serrated blade will cut through a steak easily. No need for two knives at the table with those.
I will say that I was disturbed by their shady business practices. They tend to use high school and college students as salespeople, expecting them to prey upon family members and friends for customers. No leads, no marketing, just urging the students to "call your family." Once my nephew ran out of family, they dropped him.
Michelle Williams, who is attractive.
