Can't stand to see one of Amy's link threads without something in it.
So, here you go. From Jezebel again, "How To Write About Rape Prevention Without Sounding Like An Asshole." A response to Emily Yoffe's Slate piece about rape prevention, advising girls not to get falling down drunk at parties. (Which I would consider good advice for anyone.)

Man and a women get drunk at a bar.
The both drive home and kill someone drunk driving, neither can claim they were too drunk to consent to driving drunk or manslaughter
Man and a woman get drunk at a bar.
They have consensual sex. Why is it in this scenario only the woman can claim she was too drunk to consent to the actions she willfully engaged in?
I recall a news article a couple years ago, couple meets in a bar, has sex, next morning they have sex again, go out to eat breakfast together, she drops him off at his place where they have sex a third time.
And after a conversation with her 'friends' and being made to feel guilty about enjoying sex is convinced she was "too drunk" to give consent
